Nuru Fund

The Nuru Fund aims to make use of a free resource rural communities in East Africa do have – the sun. It offers small customised loans that allow the opportunity for rural households to purchase solar powered lamps with the capability to also charge mobile phones. Our vision is to help remove dependence on kerosene in the most rural communities in East Africa, by making solar power affordable. Go to charity »

The ARC - Addington Fund

The ARC-Addington Fund started in 2001 as the churches? response to FMD, distributing £10.3m to 22,000 applicants. It now provides housing for those leaving a rural business, keeping families within their communities. It responds to changing needs and is currently running a Flood Relief Fund. No donation goes into administration. Go to charity »
