Gawd Bless Yer!

Now this is 'ow i looks at it,
And i think you'll agree with me,
I've never seen a man get drunk in me life,
on corfee, cocoa or tea.
You think i'll pay a pound for tea?
Why the though of it makes me feel queer:
When i think of what you'd get for another two and six,
such a pretty little barrell of beer.

The 23rd of April (not April 23rd - that's a vile Americanism) ought to be a national holiday.

You often get people saying how there's no 'English pride' any more, to which I say poppycock, but that's besides the point. Lord knows we could all do with another day off.

I am going to celebrate this day with a nice cup of tea. Earl Grey. Hot.
