  1. The 23rd of April (not April 23rd - that’s a vile Americanism) ought to be a national holiday.

    You often get people saying how there’s no ‘English pride’ any more, to which I say poppycock, but that’s besides the point. Lord knows we could all do with another day off.

    I am going to celebrate this day with a nice cup of tea. Earl Grey. Hot.
